Terms
Last updated 6 October 2026
These terms cover your use of getkitlab.com and the demos on it, and the 3D models, designs and files used in kitlab by our clients. kitlab is made by a small business in Melbourne, Australia. Clients who use our products also have their own agreement with us, which applies alongside these terms. If the two differ, the agreement wins.
Using the site
You're welcome to browse, try the demos and get in touch. Please don't misuse the site: no attempts to break in, overload it, copy it wholesale or use it for anything unlawful.
Our content
The site, our product names, designs and software belong to us. Things you make in a demo are yours, but demos aren't saved and may be reset at any time.
3D models and designs
Ready-made models and designs from our library, and kitlab's own templates, belong to us. While your plan is active you can use them in kitlab on your own store, to show and sell your kits. You can't copy them out of kitlab, sell or share them as files, or use them on another platform. When your plan ends, so does that use.
A model or design our 3D modeller makes just for you also belongs to us, and you can use it in kitlab the same way while your plan is active. We won't offer a model made for you to anyone else without your written permission. If you'd like to own it outright, ask us and we'll quote for that in writing.
What you upload
Your models, artwork, logos and your customers' designs stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and show them only so kitlab can work for you and your customers.
Each time you upload something, you're promising us that you own it or have written permission to use it in kitlab, and that using it here doesn't break anyone's copyright, design, trade mark or licence. A model bought on another platform is often licensed for that platform only, so check before you bring it across. When you upload a 3D model we ask you to confirm it's yours to use, and we keep a record of who confirmed it and when.
Logos and photos your customers add in your designer are part of your store, so your own store terms should ask them for the same promise.
If something you or your team upload turns out not to be yours to use and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you'll cover what it costs us, including reasonable legal costs and anything we have to pay.
If you leave, you can ask for a copy of your models, artwork and orders within 30 days. After that we delete them, except where the law says we have to keep something.
If something isn't yours
If you think a model, design or logo in kitlab uses your work without permission, tell us through our contact page. Let us know what it is, where you saw it and why it's yours.
We'll look into it and let the client who uploaded it know, so they can reply. While we do, we may hide or take the content down, and we'll put it back if it turns out to be fine. A client who keeps uploading things that aren't theirs to use may have their account suspended or closed.
